California Breezing
Hi Folks, having some computer issues so will be absent for a week or so longer. Nothing much to update on other than smoking some fantastic Sativa's from a couple of private dealers. Very much similar to the classic thai genetics, very joyful, social strains.
Will post some pics and strain reports soon.

Chopped & Restocked
Okay, forgot to post this yesterday, but I chopped my Super Lemon Haze at approx 52 days of flowering. I began to notice quite a quick onset of amber trichomes and had recently taken a sample and liked the high a lot, so decided it was time.
Usually the Super Lemon Haze will flower from 9 weeks+, usually going into the 10th week to push out the Super Lemony smell and taste that won it 2 High Times Cannabis Cup awards.
As far as I understand, there are two main phenotypes of the Super Lemon Haze (GHS can correct me hehe) and this one looked primarily indica, but has a great Sativa High and Bud formation.
Yield etc/to come soon. Will post a smoke report on this strain soon :)
By the way... congrats to those who got their share in the Attitude Seedbank Lucky 7 promotion. Managed to get myself 14 seeds for the price of one 5 pack. Nice.

Bud Shots
Sativa Dominant, a very pschedelic buzz, but was slightly short lived.
Cheese (A)
Was apparently LA Cheese, but was too much on the indica side with fatigue in the come down. Great for insomnia, but not a good day time strain. Solid body buzz.

Cannabis quick dry method (will retain potency)!
Everyone wants to try their buds a little early every now and then, who doesn't? I can be a little impatient at times, and look for the best method of quick drying your buds. Using a microwave straight or an oven can fucks up both taste and potency (but often can retain a little aroma).
Believe it or not, a great method I learned uses one of the above appliances...the microwave. And believe me, done properly, really retains potency. This all comes down to heat, microwaves have a habit of overdrying and burning the buds/trim. My method prevents that from happening and uses steam to dry the buds gently and completely without damaging the trichomes.
You will need a microwaveble plastic container with a lid that can be sealed, and paper towels.
1. First cut a couple of layers of paper towel to the shape of the pastic container so that it fits on the bottom as a paper tray.. then lay the buds/trim inside the container on top of the paper towel "carpet".
2. Cut another couple of layers of paper towel, a little larger than the last. Wet these paper towels and rinse them off so they are wet but not dripping.
3. Place the wet paper towels over the top of the container (so it doesn't touch the buds), and seal the edges of container shut, but have a small opening to let the stem out.
4. Adjust microwave power to 40%. Place the container into the microwave and run it at 30 second intervals, removing it every 30 seconds to lift the lid and left the steam escape.
This may take up to 5-6 sets of 30 second intervals before it has dried properly. Make sure to check that the top paper towels are continually moist and change the bottom paper towels when they become wet.

Royal Flush
Okay, so this Monday (Day 1 of Week 8) is the day I flush my Super Lemon Haze. For the last 2 weeks I have been feeding her 30.30.60 NPK, and Molasses (believe me, you can smell the Molasses in the stem when you pick an early bud). I am still deciding whether or not I am going to continue to add molasses to the water.
I have also been using CO2 at regulated levels over the last week and she has put on some serious weight since doing so. After flushing my plan is to continue watering with pH buffered water for approx another 1-2 weeks for her to be ready for harvest. (Will soon post my drying/curing method).
600W Super Lemon Haze (Early Shots)
Hey everyone, socaliboy here, very glad to finally get a blog going. Below is a picture of my Super Lemon Haze taken over a week ago. Since then, her trichomes have gotten cloudy, and her leaves are starting to yellow as she puts all her energy into producing beautiful buds. Updated pictures will arrive when my camera is fixed.
I am going to use this blog as a channel to keep an updated grow journal for my current and future grows. You can still find me, and my madness at http://www.rollitup.org/members/socaliboy-246730.html
